Howdy,
I wanted to give you an update on the extraordinarily successful Cycling for Survival event on Jan 31st. 'Paul's Posse' once again humbled me with its amazing support -- Thanks to many, we contributed over $30,000 to the cause of researching orphan cancers like mine at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
It was, of course, quite a scene, with hundreds of folks pedaling, yelling, and the warmth of all was a stark contrast to the frigid January day. All told, the event raised over $2.2 million.
Among the cyclists were two of my incredible doctors, Dr. Gary Schwartz and Dr. Ronald Dematteo. Unfortunately, I was forced into the role of cheerleader, sidelined by abdominal pain that has become my newest foe. I am currently on a mission to eradicate this situation so I can get back on the bike. I'm set to undergo further testing this week and my doctors are confident they will solve the issue.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your generosity to the Cycle for Survival. Being a spectator only deepened my gratitude to the participants and to folks like you who made their hard work worthwhile.
I thrive on,
Paul
