I have good news and great news.
The good news is that I had a CT scan last Saturday and I am delighted to tell that there's no evidence of disease. My friend, doctor and fellow Posse member Gary Schwartz is so confident that Gleevec is doing its job, he's recommending that I only need to be scanned every 6 months. Amazing!
The great news is that this past weekend Cycle for Survival was held. I am thrilled to report that our team raised more than $35,000. This year's event is on target to raise in excess of $8 million -- 100% of which will go to research for so-called orphan cancers.
I would like to share a video that Gary's daughter Katherine put together for last year's event because I think it captures the essence of Cycle. Each time I watch, it still chokes me up.
I Thrive on,
Paul
